Personal Care Success for Persons with Dementia Thursday, February 7th, 2008 from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm at the Amcore bank in Monroe

* Presented by the Alzheimer's Association - Learn to use a person's individual preferences, needs and abilities to most effectively help with common problems in bathing, eating, dressing and toileting. Practice these skills through interactive exercises. - **Workshop designed to meet the needs of direct care providers of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, and more. A certification of attendance will be provided for each participant.

Making Activities Meaningful for Persons with Alzheimers Thursday, April 3rd, 2008 from 9:00 am-12:00 pm at the Amcore bank in Monroe

* Presented by the Alzheimer's Association - This workshop will give participants teh needed tools to understanding the special activity needs of the person with dementia. Learn to use the life story as a guide to providing the most meaningful activities for each individual. - **Workshop designed to meet the needs of direct care providers of nursing homes, assisted living facilities, home health agencies, and more. A certification of attendance will be provided for each participant.
